We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Prep Cooks to join our kitchen team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the chefs in creating high-quality dishes. Your work will be crucial in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and delivering excellent dining experiences for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and sauces according to recipes and instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Assist chefs and cooks in cooking, assembling, and plating dishes as needed
- Follow food safety standards, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Manage inventory and inform supervisors of any low stock or needed supplies
- Work efficiently to meet restaurant timelines and customer expectations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment
- Knowledge of basic kitchen safety, food preparation, and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation
