We are looking for a warm and welcoming Host/Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for guests at our clients’ restaurants or hospitality venues. You will be responsible for ensuring guests have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests with a welcoming and professional attitude
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using reservation systems
- Provide guests with accurate wait times and manage seating flow efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservations
- Ensure the waiting area is tidy and presentable
- Collaborate with the service and kitchen staff to ensure smooth dining operations
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate as necessary
- Maintain knowledge of the menu and restaurant layout to assist guests effectively
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Proficient in reservation and seating software (experience with OpenTable or similar systems is a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation
